Alec Bradley was co-founded by Alan Rubin in 1998, around the time the cigar boom came to a screeching halt. While the cigar industry was in a rapid decline, so was Rubin’s business. This led him to go out on a limb and start a new cigar company, with the help of Henkie Kelner, they released their first blend. Black Market in nature is illusive, Rubin wanted to bring Esteli, the cigar capital of Nicaragua, out of the shadows. Thus Black Market Esteli was born. Wrapped in a tasty Nicaraguan Jalapa leaf, a binder of Ecuadorian tobacco. Finished with Honduras and Panamas finest filler leaves.
