1675 series — where to start

The 1675 series is Lampert’s core range, named after the year of Kelner family heritage. Three wrappers, each producing a distinct character over the same Dominican and Nicaraguan filler blend. Lampert 1593 Edición Oscuro — the aged maduro

The 1593 Edición Oscuro uses a Mexican San Andres wrapper aged for two years before rolling, over an Indonesian Sumatra binder aged for three years and Dominican filler aged for three years. The extended aging produces a noticeably different character from the 1675 Morado — darker, richer, with a deep natural sweetness from the aged wrapper and a long, settled finish that doesn’t build as aggressively.

Medium in body despite the dark wrapper — the aging process rounds off the strength while concentrating the flavour. Dark caramel, espresso, and dried fruit are the dominant notes.

Baba Yaga — Lampert’s most celebrated limited release

The Baba Yaga is named after the fearsome forest witch of Slavic folklore — a name that fits the cigar’s character. An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over undisclosed binder and filler, full in body, with dark espresso, leather, earth, and a deep, sustained finish. This is the most complex cigar in the Lampert range and the one that attracts serious collector attention each year.
